Rear Chassis X-Brace 05-14 Mustang
Steeda built this Rear Chassis X-Brace (555-5093) to stiffen the back end of 2005-2014 Ford Mustangs. The X-shaped brace connects the rear frame rails, which stops the chassis from twisting and flexing during hard cornering, braking, and launching.
By spreading out cornering and acceleration forces across more of the unibody, the brace keeps the rear suspension in the right position when you push the car hard. This means more predictable handling, better traction when you get on the gas, and more confidence during aggressive driving. It measures 15.5 x 4 x 47 inches and weighs 13 lbs 12 oz, so it adds stiffness without adding much weight.
The brace bolts on with no welding, no cutting, and no permanent changes to the factory frame. It works with coilover kits, performance shocks, and stock suspension parts, making it a mod you can undo if needed. If your S197 Mustang sees track days or spirited back-road drives, this Steeda X-Brace is a direct way to sharpen the rear end.
