Consider heat range, electrode material (copper, platinum, iridium), and gap specifications. Iridium plugs offer the longest life, copper provides the best conductivity for high-performance applications. Always follow manufacturer recommendations for heat range and gap.

MSD ignition systems provide multiple spark discharges at low RPM for improved combustion, higher energy output for better fuel ignition, and adjustable rev limiters. These upgrades are particularly beneficial for modified engines with increased compression or forced induction.

Start by checking battery voltage, fuses, and relays. Test the crankshaft position sensor, ignition coil power and ground circuits, and the distributor or crank trigger. Use a spark tester at the plug to confirm whether spark is present.

Data acquisition systems record vehicle performance metrics like RPM, speed, G-forces, and suspension travel. They are essential for professional racing and track-day enthusiasts to analyze and improve lap times. Entry-level systems are affordable for hobbyists.
